![]() They invited us into their home and talked to us about the history of Smallpond, the past and future events held there and gave us loads of encouragement of pursuing a creative career. After, Katy of PECAC joined us as we ventured to Smallpond Studio owned and operated by Milé Murtanovski and Krista Dalby. She spoke about the expectations when writing your business plan and possible grant opportunities for the emerging artist. Once our break finished, the entire group met at The Edward in Prince Edward County and visited Gillian Chapman of the PELACFDC while she talked about the business side of the art world. After cleaning up the enormous mess we made, it was already lunchtime. All of the prints turned out fantastic! People on average took away about five prints in total. Our first colour was black and we had enough to time to do a second colour, brown. After a demonstration on the inking and pressing process, we began laying out several ink stations (about 6) and began working right away. Everyone had finished etching their copper plates during the last half of Week 5 and we were fortunate enough to have Chrissy and Kyle do most of the prep work for our plates before we began inking them.
